Porto Vecchio

Porto Vecchio is situated in the southern part of Corsica and is one of the most loved turistic resort of the island. Third most important city after Bastia and Ajaccio, has Genoese origins. Very famous the beach of Palombaggia and the beach of Santa Giulia. Its economy is mostly based on tourism, thanks to its port too, big enough to accommodate the biggest ships. Must see of the island, the Strict of Bonifacio can be visited with one of the many excursions done by boat. Port of Porto Vecchio departures and arrivals: Golfo Aranci and Nice. Brindisi

Brindisi, door to the Far East, always had a strategic role thanks to the port overlooking the Adriatic sea. The city was heavily modified by the Greek influence; its name comes from the Greek word “Brentesion”, literally “head of deer” due to the shape of its natural port, amongst the legends of the city stands out the myth of the hero Diomede, the founder of the city. Brindisi offers wonderful cultural and panoramic paths, including the old port that surrounds the city, the Aragon castle, the Castello Grande (large castle) of Frederick II and the famous column at the end of the via Appia. Salerno

Situated in a gulf in the Tyrrheanian sea, between Amalfi’s coastline (western side) and plain of Sele (south-east side), Salerno is the second most important city of Campania. The first settlers where the Etruscans, substituted, after some time, by Sunnites. The port has a major role and is very important for commerce and trades for the central/southern part of Italy. From here is easy to reach some of the most beautiful places in Amalfi’s coastline, such as Sorrento, Positano and Amalfi, famous for the production of the famous limoncello (a lemon liqueur). Olbia

Olbia, in the region of Sassari, is situated in the north-eastern part of Sardinia and it is the biggest city in Gallura. It is said that was the son of Ercole the one who built the first human village along the coast in the VII century b.C.; but the first urban center was founded by Phoenicians. In Olbia there are both the touristic port, where ferries arrive from many locations from the Italian peninsula, and functioning airport. The coastal area of the city is approximately 100 km long and it is loved by tourists for beautiful beaches and wonderful cliffs. Civitavecchia

Civitavecchia overlooks the Tyrrhenian sea: its history developed around maritime and commercial activities. The land was inhabited during the Etruscan area and was reinforced since the Ancient Rome. Golfo Aranci

Golfo Aranci, in the region of Sassari, is part of the promontory Capo Figari; it has a characteristic shape, a strip of land, only few kilometers far from the more famous Olbia. Its land was home for many populations, such as Greeks, Phoenicians and Romans; proofs of their live in Golfo Aranci were found under the sea in Cala Moresca. In the recent past, the sea of Golfo Aranci, particularly rich of fish, was an incredible attraction for all the fishermen in Tyrrhenian Sea. Golfo Aranci is part of Costa Smeralda and is close to various touristic destinations, such as Porto Rotondo or Porto Cervo; thanks to this qualities, it is one of the most favorite destination of people from all over Europe. Livorno

Porto Torres

Porto Torres is situated in the north-western area of Sardinia, inside the Asinara gulf, and it is one of the main center of the region. The numerous nuraghi and necropolis are the proof of human presence since Prehistoric era; however, the foundation of the city is credited to Caesar, who stood in 46 b.C. in “Turris Lybisonis”, the only roman colony in Sardinia.
