Ancona is one of the most important ports in Italy, the very first for passengers traffic and for vehicle transit. Its name comes from the unusual elbow shape, from the Greek word “Ankòn”, translated into the nowadays “elbow”. Thanks to its shape, the sun rises and sets on the sea.
