Civitavecchia overlooks the Tyrrhenian sea: its history developed around maritime and commercial activities. The land was inhabited during the Etruscan area and was reinforced since the Ancient Rome. The port of Civitavecchia is undoubtedly one of the most important seaports in Europe; the old port part is a beloved architectonical masterpiece, represented by the works inside it, such as Porta Livorno, Torre del Lazzaretto or Forte Michelangelo while the southern part of the port is dedicated to passengers traffic, with many structures: Terminal Traghetti, Terminal Crociere and commercial area. Come raggiungere il porto di Civitavecchia

By car: follow signs to the port, “Terminal Vespucci”. By train: railway station of Civitavecchia and shuttle service bus “Argo”, approximately every 20 minutes, and it takes 10 minutes to reach the port area. From the railway station is possible to reach the terminal on foot.
