Naples, founded by Cumans, was one of the most important cities of Magna Grecia. The city reached its development peak during Borbone family’s reign, as witnesses by the most ancient railway in Italy. Naples lies in the middle of the homonymous gulf and has numerous cultural and touristic highlights, such as the biggest old town in Europe and UNESCO world heritage site, the underground of Naples with its tunnels, the park of Capodimonte, the green area around the homonymous royal palace. The port, situated in the most northern creek of the gulf, is one of the most important port of Italy for both passengers and containers traffic. Come raggiungere il porto di Naples

By car: freeway exit interchange Via Marina and continue towards the port. By train: the railway station Centrale is the one suggested to reach Molo Beverello, departure pier for ferries; the railway station Naples Mergellina is instead suggested to reach the homonymous port where jetfoils depart. By plane: Capodichino airport and Alibus bus service to the port.
