Olbia, in the region of Sassari, is situated in the north-eastern part of Sardinia and it is the biggest city in Gallura. It is said that was the son of Ercole the one who built the first human village along the coast in the VII century b.C.; but the first urban center was founded by Phoenicians. In Olbia there are both the touristic port, where ferries arrive from many locations from the Italian peninsula, and functioning airport. The coastal area of the city is approximately 100 km long and it is loved by tourists for beautiful beaches and wonderful cliffs.
