Palermo is the county seat of the region Sicily and the major urban center of the island. Founded by Phoenicians boasts a thousand-years old history: the succession of Greeks, Romans, Saracens, Normans and Spanish left an amazing artistic and cultural inheritance; the cathedral of Cefalù and the cathedral of Monreale are proof of that. Another major role is played by culinary tradition: it’s a mix of old and modern tastes, enhancing local products’ quality. Port is one of most important way of access to the city and is one of the biggest port, for both goods and passengers. Port of Palermo departures and arrivals: Genoa, Livorno, Civitavecchia, Naples, Salerno, Cagliari, Ustica and Tunis. Come raggiungere il porto di Palermo

By bus: from motorway (A20/A19), take freeway E90, exit Palermo and follow signs to the port. By train: Palermo railway station is only 10 minutes away by taxi/bus. By plane: airport “Falcone Borsellino”, 40 minutes away by taxi/bus to the port. A bus service, connecting port to airport and vice versa, is frequent and easily accessible.
