Porto Torres is situated in the north-western area of Sardinia, inside the Asinara gulf, and it is one of the main center of the region. The numerous nuraghi and necropolis are the proof of human presence since Prehistoric era; however, the foundation of the city is credited to Caesar, who stood in 46 b.C. in “Turris Lybisonis”, the only roman colony in Sardinia.
