Savona

Savona, second city of Liguria region for importance and for the port, overlooks the western Ligurian riviera. Its name dates back to IV century b.C., but its development reached its peak during Byzantine era. During Medieval times, even if the city suffered the Genoese commercial superiority, was one of the most active and prolific cities. Thanks to the great structures of the city that boosts its geographical position, Savona is actually one of the most important ports in Italy. Its coastline, especially towards the western part, is one of the most wanted destinations for the tourists coming from North Italy. Port of Savona departures and arrivals: Bastia, Tangier, Barcelona and sometimes Ile Rousse (during summer). The sailing company operating from and to Savona is Corsica Ferries.

Come raggiungere il porto di Savona

By car: from Genoa highway A10 Genoa-Ventimiglia, exit to Savona and follow signs towards the port. From Turin highway A6 Turin-Savona exit Savona. By train: Savona station is approximately 1,5 kilometers (approx. 10 Euro fare by taxi) or by with ACTS. By plane: the port it’s approximately 45 kilometers far from the airport Cristoforo Colombo of Genoa.
