Tangier, whose name has Berber origins, is a city located in northern Morocco. Its history is very ancient; the succession of Phoenicians, Carthaginians, Romans and Byzantines earlier on and then Spanish and English, makes the city rich of traditions and folklore. Located in front of the strict of Gibraltar, its port is the major port of Morocco; a big help comes from the growth of Tangier Med area, only 14 kilometers far from Spain. With its market and its culinary tradition, Tangier twists in the streets of Medina and in the Kasbah it is possible to admire the Palace of Sultan, seats of a museum; the Ville Nouvelle is, instead, ideal for shopping and walks.
