Tolone is situated in the south-eastern part of France; is the major port of French army and harbors many war ships. It is considered the first major city west of Cote Azure. Thanks to its optimal position, Tolone became, and still is, a very important commercial and touristic port close to Corsica. Ligurian city since IV century b.C. and dominated by Romans two centuries later; was annexed to France in the XV century. Was conquered by Napoleon during French revolution and he freed from Britannic army. Port of Tolone departures and arrivals: towards Corsica to Bastia, Ajaccio, Ile Rousse and towards Sardinia to Porto Torres. The sailing company operating from and to Tolone is Corsica Sardinia Ferries.

By car: from east by highway A57, exit 1B. From west by highway A50, exit of Tolone. By train: the railway station is approximately 2 km from the port and is reachable both by bus or taxi. By plane: the terminal is approximately 20 km from the port.
