Founded by Achille Onorato in Naples in 1959, Moby started with small ferries on routes to/from La Maddalena and Elba Island. Today, it connects Sardinia, Corsica, Elba Island with ferries from Genoa, Livorno, Civitavecchia and Piombino. Moby is currently lead by Vincenzo Onorato, president and representative of the fourth generation of the family, and Daniela Onorato, CEO and main shareholder of the company. The leadership and administration of the company was left to Daniela and Vincenzo by their dad Achille, that first introduced Moby’s shares on the market.
Moby also increased its fame when they started to paint on the sides of their ferries the company logo: a giant smiling blue whale that decorates the vessel from bow to stern. The company then also started painting on their ferries other holiday-themed subjects, such as islands and surfers; moreover, thanks to a deal with Warner Bros, Moby also started painting on their vessels Looney Tunes characters, a peculiarity that greatly increased the fame of the company and made the company marketing campaign stand out.

Caronte & Tourist has been in charge of private ferries crossing the Messina Strait for the last 40 years.
The competition between Caronte Spa and Tourist Ferry Boat Spa starts on 19th July 1965, when the vessel Marina di Scilla crosses the Strait for the first time, connecting the ports of Messina and Reggio Calabria as an alternative to the train.
After the acknowledged success of the route from Messina to Salerno, established throughout the years thanks to the quality and timeliness of the service and the comfort of the ships, in November 2010 Caronte & Tourist Spa launched a new route from Salerno to Termini-Imerese, a route that represented a further upgrade for the company in the field of maritime transportation; that is because this route amplified the connections of Autostrade d’Amare whose vessels, since the end on 2010, have also reached the western side of Sicily.
The New TTT Lines Srl is established on 9th April 2015, a product of the entrepreneurial foresight of two different groups: Caronte & Tourist Spa and Tomasos Transport & Tourism Spa.
Every day, modern and comfortable ferries connect not only the two volcano cities (Naples to Catania) but also Salerno to Messina, guaranteeing the connection of the best part of central-southern Italy and representing the best and most comfortable option to the already existing ferries companies and to the obsolete motorway network of Southern Italy. Autostrade d’Amare become, for this reason, more and more popular.
The TTT Lines vessels offer the following services on board: café, self-service restaurant, shops, comfortable cabins for the journey, on-board camping options, children area, chair rooms, TVs and halls to host events, as nowadays ferries are not only important means of transportation but also ideal locations to host events.
